UDALPLAN and Territorial Indicators of Basque Country

UDALPLAN is the Geographic Information System for urban planning of Basque Country. It presents the General and Organic Structure and the Land Qualification as well as the Classification of the entire territory of the Autonomous Community of Basque Country, following in the case of undeveloped land the categorization of the Territorial Planning Guidelines.

On the basis of urban planning, UDALPLAN, a series of territorial and urban indicators have been worked out that show the urban and territorial evolution of Basque Country. These indicators measure numerically the relationship between the different parameters that are handled in the planning of the territory. They relate the available land, the use that is given to it, the intensity of the uses and the relationship that all this has with the population they serve and their impact on the environment.
