Hemos comenzado a trabajar en el proyecto europeo de I D ICARUS (Integrated Components for Assisted Rescue and Unmanned Search operations), proyecto cofinanciado por el 7º Programa Marco de la Unión Europea.
The objective aims to develop integrated solutions for search and rescue teams that act after disasters, such as the earthquakes in Haiti and Italy or the tsunami in Japan. Unmanned vehicles (terrestrial, aerial and maritime) will be equipped with sensors to detect victims that will facilitate the rescue works..
The project, led by the Royal Military Academy of Belgium, has a budget of 17,5 million euros and is composed of a consortium of European institutes and companies, NATO and the Portuguese Navy.
ICARUS shows our commitment to technological development, innovation, collaboration and internationalization.
